Checking event channel

Hi all,

am I right to assume that there is no way to check if the event channel to a
server is still active, except by trying to send a message and catch the
exception in case of failure?

At least I found no appropriate method, neither in the EventChannel nor in the
PushConsumer classes.

Regards, Klaus

Hi,

you can try to use _non_existent call, at least under some conditions.

Cheers,
Karel

Hi Klaus,

thanks for the report, but I'm not able to duplicate this with different
antivirus software. Are you sure this is not false alarm?

Thanks,
Karel

Hi Karel,

I'm not responsible for our anti-virus software, so how can I be sure? :-)

As fas as I know we use McAffee, and that's what it reported.
